  • There is a Vaccine for Rattlesnake Bites

There is something you can do to increase the chances of your animal surviving a rattlesnake bite. It is called a crotox vaccine. If your dog is intrigued by rattlesnakes and you feel they are at risk, you may want to consider this precautionary step. Please be aware that this vaccine is not designed to replace treatment. Rather, it provides the body with some protection and usually will "buy time" until the animal can be seen by the veterinarian. All bites should be seen by the doctor.

  • Zoonotic Diseases

What are they? They are diseases that can be transmitted from animals to humans. How can you prevent them from affecting your families? There are several preventative medications on the market that can be given on a regular basis that not only protect your animal but protect you and your family. Following good hygienic practices is probably one of the most effective tools. Frequent washing of hands and regular pickup of feces in the yard help a lot toward prevention. Probably the most common or well known zoonotic diseases are ringworm, roundworms, hookworm, scabies or mange, and rabies.

  • Pharmaceutical Products

We would like you to know that you may obtain a written prescription for any of the medications prescribed by a veterinarian. This will give you the option to purchase pharmaceuticals elsewhere. Please understand that we do not and will not work with internet pharmacies. However, having a written prescription will allow you to purchase directly from them.
